We first started our calibration service in 2002. Within two years we had grown to providing a calibration service for 400 clients with around 10,000 items of equipment in total. At that time the company employed 4 calibration engineers and 2.5 administrators. As our client base expanded, we began to experience bottle-necks in the day-to-day activities of administration of certificates. If any client were to mislay a certificate and need it to be re-issued, then the subsequent tracking of the certificate history followed by re-creation and delivery of the paperwork made these bottle-necks untenable. These began to severely restrict the ability of the company to take on new clients.

It was these limitations, and the significant costs associated with the printing and posting of the certificates, that required us to implement a centralised certificate access system.

Using MyCalibrations has allowed us to remove our business bottlenecks and grow our client base. In 2012, we now support 800 clients across 1000 sites using 6 engineers. Certificates for 45,000 calibrated items are managed by the system, with us now employing only 1.5 administrators.
